Forty pages for Mother's Day, and the women who showed me what to do with them

The Mother's Day Full Collection 2026 laid out in pinks and beiges

This is the biggest kit I have drawn. Forty pages. I did not set out to draw forty pages; I set out to draw a bunting, and then I couldn't find any wattle for reference and got annoyed about it, and somehow that annoyance turned into a whole native florals range.

Gum blossoms beside the native florals pattern print

Wattle. Gum. Banksia. Three florals together. Then the same four again in an intense colourway for people who want more contrast on a dark wall. Then the cupcakes, because a mother's day without cake is a Tuesday.

What's inside

  • Buntings (3 pages) — florals, florals + cupcakes, cupcakes
  • Prints (9 pages) — four native florals, four in the intense colourway, plus cupcakes
  • Tags (3 pages)
  • Flags, cards, patterns and printable play across the rest of the forty

The full collection is $19.99. If you only want the buntings, or only the tags, the individual pages are still listed separately from $3.99 — you are not obliged to buy the whole thing to get the one piece you actually need.

What the girls did with it

This is the part I did not plan for, and the part I now design towards.

Kendra worked out that if you cut the buntings out individually they stop being bunting and start being decals. Framed prints. Flags cut down into card fronts. Patterns used as gift wrap for small things.

Kendra's idea: cut the buntings out and use them as decals in a display

A framed wattle print and a MOTHER pennant on a shelf

Molly added pom poms to the pennants, which is the kind of small idea that makes a printed piece look handmade rather than printed. Good golly, Miss Molly.

A World's Best Mum pennant in ochre

Lindsay used it on herself. She made the whole thing for her own Mother's Day — framed the cupcake collage, tucked flags into an orchid centrepiece, folded origami boxes one crease at a time. She wrote about it beautifully in Something Beautiful for Myself for Mothers' Day, and there's a tea party for a bunny and a pig in this one.

Note from Marie: I love knowing that I lend a bit of calm to mummas doing all of it. Print one page for yourself this year. You are allowed.
